BCG-EVs

This vaccine comprises EVs derived from Mycobacterium bovis and Escherichia coli Nissle 1917. BCG-EVs carry multiple molecules, including known protective TB antigens. The EVs will be lyophilized to ensure physicochemical stability and eliminate the need for a cold chain. Owing to their acellular nature, the vaccine is suitable for infants and children, including those living…

Tri:ChAd:TB

Tri:ChAd:TB is built on the chimpanzee adenovirus serotype 68 vector, expressing Ag85A, TB10.4, and RpfB. These antigens spanning distinct M.tb life-cycle stages. Ag85A wanes after acute infection, whereas TB10.4 remains highly expressed. RpfB is upregulated during dormancy and resuscitation. This vaccine is formulated for respiratory mucosal delivery.

PNx6

PNx6 is a modular, self-assembling and self-adjuvanting peptide-based vaccine candidate that is cold-chain independent. Each peptide building blocks consist of a linear arrangement comprising a 15-leucine (15L) self-assembly inducer moiety, a 15 amino acid Mtb epitope and a 9 amino acids HLA-E binding moiety, with each moiety separated by a triple lysine spacer.

MtbΔfbpA

We have developed three live vaccine candidates by knocking out or deleting genes in Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv. We named them as double knockout (DKO), Triple knockout (TKO), and quadruple knockout (QKO). These strains have the following gene deletions: DKO (Mtb∆fbpA-∆sapM), TKO (Mtb∆fbpA-∆sapM-∆zmp1), and (Mtb∆fbpA-∆sapM-∆zmp-∆dosR).

SeV986A

Our group utilizes an replication-defective Sendai virus (SeV) as TB vaccine vector, and constructed SeV85AB and SeV986A vaccine. SeV986A expressed a fusion of acute- and latency-stage Mtb antigens (4 antigens). In murine models, it serves as a potent BCG-booster, significantly reducing bacterial burden in both active and latent infection challenges.
